Baking soda works great! Lemon juice for wasp stings, so I read.
Just pat some baking soda with a pinch of water added making a paste and apply in the affected areas. I read this in a book stating over 500 ways to use baking soda. I tried it when I got mosquito bites and it soothed away the irritation. You don't need to worry about getting any side effects since it is an all natural remedy.

I know you're probably not supposed to do this, but I always use fingernail polish. If it starts itching again, I apply another layer.

What i used to use on mosquito bites that helped me was Johnsons baby lotion the pink stuff really helped alot. you can also try for the itching hydro-cortisone cream
If you have a lot of bites, it might be a good idea to take a dose of antihistimine; benedryl is a good over-the-counter choice for bug-bites. You can also help stop the itch by painting over each one with clear nail polish (or another color, if you're feeling adventurous ;-) ); I don't know why it works, but it definitely helps to keep minor bug bites from itching.
take some milk. bring it to a simmer in a pan. let it cool just a bit so that its still relatively warm. then apply to irritated area. ive been doing this for years and its always worked
not sure why it works but it does..i used to make an "x" in the middle of the bite with my finger nail...swelling and itching sopped almost right away...can't hurt to try it to see if it works for you
