How can I tell if my leg hair is visible? is there a certain distance i should stand from a mirror?

I want to be able to know without having to ask anyone, or have anyone tell me because that would be kinda embarrassing. Any ideas on how to know if people can see the hair on my legs (so i know when its time to wax again and stuff)?
