How can I stop being sick all of the time?

I become sick with large amounts of phlegm about once a month, and it is destroying my life. I have missed so much school and work due to being ill that it has started to take a toll on my work reviews/ grades. I need to do something to stay healthy. Once i get over he current cold, what can i do to stay healthy. What foods will boost my immune system?
Answer:
Garlic is great for helping to keep you healthy. There are odor free garlic capsules available so try taking some of them. Would also recommend a good multivitamin as well. Drink plenty of water ever day to help your body to flush out waste materials in your system.
Take antioxidants A, C, and E , garlic capsules and a multivitamin daily. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink at least 8 glasses of purified or distilled water daily. Avoid alcohol and smoky places. Get 8 hours of sleep nightly and walk for at least 30 minutes at least 3x per week. Get fresh air and air out the place you live at least 10 mins. per day.
normal adequate nutrition should maintain you. You need to consult a doc if this goes on, may be asthma or some other chronic condition.

have you tried echinasia? it is a natural herb that you can find in the health supplements section at any drug store..i have a very low immune system and i usually get colds very often due to stress...but that has helped reduce them quite a bit...

i was like you , catch one then move on to the next even before you get over the first one...it has really helped me..i woke up yesterday feeling ok, by the time night came, i was already sneezing and it's been on since then...but i know it is not going to be as bad and not take as long as colds i had a few years ago..

take care
Is it really a cold or is it allergies? Go get a full physical and go see an allergist. If you have allergies, you can take steps to avoid them and/or take measures to reduce the symptoms.

Otherwise, eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Drink plenty of fluids daily and double that when you're sick. You'll get better sooner. I learned that last bit from my son's respiratory therapist.
most colds are caused by a virus, wash your hands often, and brush your teeth and rinse with mouthwash 3 times a day. use Hand sanitizer when ever you touch raw meat, or especially at school or anywhere public, Now days, germs are spread so easily, if you don't watch out, you just never know what will be the next trend in contagious diseases.
Maybe its not what you need to eat, but what you need to stop eating. Look at what you eat everyday, is it processed?
does it come in a pre cooked pre made package, then more then likely it is treated in one way or the other to stop spoiling.
Eat more vegatables, as fresh as you can get them.. Your own garden would be the best way. and eat lots more fruit, take multi vitamins, and cut down on the cow products if you can quit meat products all together, they have linked meat with alot of bad illnesses. due to the things that the cows ate and transferred it on to the calfs, and to us.
be very careful of what you are buying that you thought was good for you.. the fresher the better. and no meat. no milk, no eggs, no foods that come from anything that has a face.
then I bet you will see a major difference in how you feel.
best of health to you.
