How can I rid this bad habit?

I have this really bad habit of hunching over all the time, when i'm standing, when i'm sitting. Now, I think I have a nice body, but the hunch is so bad that I feel that it takes away from my posture. Any ideas on how to stop hunching. I don't have a back problem or anything.
Answer:
constantly be aware of it and check yourself. it will eventually become habit. you can tie a string around your finger, it really helps. everytime you see the string you are reminded to straighten up. a corset might be an even better and more noticeable reminder, it would kinda force you upright.
If you use an exercise ball as a chair it does wonders for your posture and for your sense of balance.
You might consider a bra that is specifically made to correct your posture.

Remember, it takes 30 days to make or break a habit, so consistency is key.

You WILL develop back and neck problems later in life if you don't correct the problem. The way models are taught to walk in a very straight, tall way is when you're home alone...walk around while balancing a book on your head. It sounds simple...but works!
there is no immediate fix to it, but when ever you feel yourself hunching, tuck your bum in, like pull your tailbone into your body kinda thing, over time itll just become natural.
You can get rid of this bad habit by always trying on very tight clothes which causes your back to straighten.
I had great results with karate' ( Go ju USA)
i was in the DOJO 8 hours a week for 9 months and I had great posture!
Now I'm detrained and back to slumps.
martial arts will do it fast and you'll be safer too!
Embrace your height. Make it a point to notice when you are hunching over and stand up straight. You're probably still growing, and you want your bones to develop properly. Practice walking with books on your head, it really does help. But most importantly, remember you dont want to inflict injury to yourself by holding onto a manerism.
Ah, I have this too. The human skeleton is held in place by the muscles. The strength of your muscles, and how opposite pairs of muscles (e.g. chest vs back) balance each other determines your posture. Habit is part of it, but it sounds like you are in need of some physical training such as weight training (get instruction) or swimming.

Try not to slouch in class or at home, and adjust the position you sit in when reading, driving, working, etc. Push-ups are a good first step, but form is key. Remember you are trying to strengthen your weak muscles and achieve balance, so the exercises that are hardest to do are probably the ones you need to do most.
you just have to practice sitting up straight.. tell a friend that u r around a lot to notify you when you do it.. you just have to practice, I kinda got that same prob..
